Last weekend, the Bluegrass Ball returned to Cervantes’ Masterpiece in Denver, CO, bringing The Travelin’ McCourys, Bill Nershi (String Cheese Incident), Anders Beck and Paul Hoffman (Greensky Bluegrass) together for one magical night of music. Hosted by the McCoury’s, the band welcomed all three throughout a sold-out performance at the beloved Colorado establishment.
Among the many highlights was a special trio performance from the three guests, as Nershi, Beck and Hoffman teamed up for what was affectionately-dubbed “Green Cheese Bluegrass.” Together, the three paid a special tribute to Prince, performing “When Doves Cry” to perfection. The song is a staple among Greensky Bluegrass’s shows, and this special version surely touched the hearts of everyone in attendance.
