Last night, The Revivalists blew the roof off The Independent for the first of their two-night stand in San Francisco. The show was an even blend of old and new material, with early staples like “Upright,” “When I’m Able,” and “Navigate Below,” as well as new hits “Wish I Knew You,” “It Was A Sin,” and “Need You” off their most recent Men Amongst Mountains album.

As per the request of a special birthday girl, celebrating her 60th, the New Orleans band performed a striking cover of “Morning Dew,” a song written by Bonnie Dobson and popularized by the Grateful Dead, for the sold-out crowd. The song debut was fitting for the California night, and thankfully fellow Rev Head Paul Arnaudo shared some footage:

The Revivalists return to The Independent tonight, and will continue on their lengthy nationwide tour. Make sure to catch this band on the road; they are not to be missed!
