Jazz Is PHSH’s Adam Chase Talks Meeting Phish Members & Interpreting Their Music

L4LM recently spoke with drummer Adam Chase about the band’s influences behind the jazz arrangements of Phish’s most classic songs, “We have taken somewhat of a Herbie Hancock approach to our interpretation of the definition of jazz. The funky backbone of our interpretations keep it upbeat and fun while the jazz elements in the arrangements and improvisation keep it appealing for even the most cerebral audiophile.”

Having met members of Phish, and garnering their support for their tribute, JAZZ is PHSH is in it for the long-haul. and will be bringing their unique arrangement back to Brooklyn in just a couple of very short weeks.

The complete lineup includes The Chase Brothers with Carl Gerhard (Giant Country Horns), James Casey (Trey Anastasio Band), Scott Flynn (Odesza, Pretty Lights Live Band), Chris DeAngelis (Kung Fu), Josh Thomas (With Lions), and Jay Rodriguez (Miles Davis, Groove Collective), Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy), and Felix Pastorius.

Tickets for the Brooklyn Bowl show are currently on-sale and can be purchased here. For additional show information and updates, check out the Facebook Event page.
