The Arizona-based jammers of Spafford are gearing up to complete their biggest year yet with a three-night hometown throwdown at Phoenix’s Crescent Ballroom this weekend. Without too much time off, the quartet will pick right back up on January 11 for a 29-date national tour, “For Amusement Only”. Today, the band reveals the support bands that will precede the band’s headlining two-set shows.

Following two nights of pure Spafford in Minneapolis and Milwaukee, the first chunk of tour will feature an opening set from Goose–hitting Detroit, Cleveland Heights, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Syracuse, Lancaster, and Pawtucket. From there, Spafford will regroup for four more nights of “Evening With” shows through Asbury Park, Washington DC, Raleigh, and Atlanta. The Groove Orient will join Spafford for three of their four-night Florida run, hitting Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, and Jacksonville. Spafford will perform a two-set show in Orlando without any opening support. The Higgs will join the party on the West Coast with shows in Solana Beach, Santa Barbara, Crystal Bay, Missoula, and Boise; while Spafford carries the torch through San Rafael, Crystal Bay, Bend, Bellingham, Salt Lake City, Aspen, Steamboat Springs, Frisco, and Winter Park.
