As told by SF Gate, a British man named Duncan Robb recently got his girlfriend a very special Christmas gift: tickets to her favorite band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. At £30 per ticket, the price was drastically lower than normal, so he jumped on them, and secured flights to North Ireland for the performance at Belfast’s SSE Arena.
However, as Robb explained on Twitter, a few days before the performance, as they prepared for their flight, the couple noticed something strange about the hard-copy tickets they had received. Rather than buying tickets to the iconic American rock outfit, Robb had accidentally purchased tickets to the Red Hot Chili Pipers, a Scottish bagpipe rock cover band and the self-proclaimed “most famous bagpipe band on the planet.”
Still can’t believe we’ve flown over to Belfast not for the @ChiliPeppers but to see the ‘worlds best bagpipe band’ @chillipipers … thought I’d got a rate good deal on tickets n’all. Had a nightmare pic.twitter.com/YO72amVR4I

Rather than be deterred, the two went through with their international pursuit of music. After Saturday’s Red Hot Chili Pipers show, Robb posted a video of their view of the performance.
For anybody interested in what the Red Hot Chilli Pipers sound like (and for the angry “didnt happen” mob ) here’s a video from our seats x pic.twitter.com/gIoymZ3xGW
