In anticipation of Summer Camp Music Festival’s 2018 edition, which will return to its home in Chillicothe, Illinois, from May 25th to 27th this year, the festival just offered up the first video in a new video series titled Summer Camp Sessions 2017. For this series’ inaugural video, Summer Camp has released a stunning video by the iconic photographer Jay Blakesberg of Trey Anastasio Band performing “Sand” on Sunday, May 28th, 2017. Trey Anastasio Band’s slinky performance of the tune went down at the festival’s Sunshine Stage, opening up the group’s two-set performance last year after takes on “Gotta Jiboo” and “Mozambique”. This year, Summer Camp will feature three days of moe., three days of Umphrey’s McGee, two sets of Phil Lesh and Terrapin Family Band, Diplo, and Slightly Stoopid as headliners, along with STS9, Tipper, RL Grime, Greensky Bluegrass, and Action Bronson. Summer Camp 2018 will also see performances by Beats Antique, Cherub, EOTO, JJ Grey & Mofro, Keller Williams, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Leftover Salmon, Lettuce, Spafford, Yonder Mountain String Band, Aqueous, Papadosio, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Twiddle, Guster, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, Break Science, Kung Fu, Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics, TAUK, and more.
