Free Yourself Up marks Lake Street Dive’s second release on Nonesuch Records. The band—drummer Michael Calabrese, bassist Bridget Kearney, singer Rachael Price, and guitarist/trumpeter Michael “McDuck” Olson—produced the album themselves at Nashville’s Goosehead Palace Studios with engineer Dan Knobler.
Lake Street Dive is currently on tour behind their new album, including upcoming shows with support from artists like Madison Ward and the Mama Bears, Mikaela Davis, and Robert Finley. Tonight, May 24th, they’ll hit the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA, followed by a string of sold-out shows in San Francisco (May 25th), Vancouver (May 29th), and Seattle (May 30th). The band will continue to tour heavily through most of the summer and again in the fall, giving fans all around North America plenty of chances to catch them in concert. Ticketing information for the upcoming shows can be found via the band’s website and you can order Free Yourself Up here.
