Gov’t Mule played a rocking show last night at Houston, TX’s White Oak Music Hall, wrapping up a series of three Texas shows this week.

The two-set show featured a first frame comprised entirely of original material, with Warren Haynes sprinkling in teases of John Scofield’s “Hottentot”, a tune off  A Go Go, his 1997 collaborative release with Medeski, Martin & Wood. Gov’t Mule’s second set and encore saw the band weave in a number of covers, including a “St. Stephen Jam”, and a cover of The Beatles’ “She Said, She Said”.

The highlight of the show’s second half came when the band moved through “Bed Of Lies”, played for the first time live. “Bed Of Lies” is one of two previously unreleased tracks from the Revolution Come… Revolution Go sessions, a special release Gov’t Mule put together for Record Store Day this past spring.
