Back in December 2015, some of music’s most well-known performers gathered at The Theater at Madison Square Garden to participate in John Lennon‘s posthumous 75th birthday celebrations. The tribute concert event, titled, Imagine, featured an appearance from Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, as well as performances from Steven Tyler, Sheryl Crow, Train’s Pat MonahanJohn Fogerty, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Willie Nelson, Tom Morello, and Kris Kristofferson, just to name a few. The concert was professionally filmed and recorded, and is now available for fans to purchase on DVD, vinyl, and CD.

The night’s performances included a mix of covers from Lennon’s years in The Beatles, as well as his solo career. Stand out performances from that night included Steven Tyler covering “Come Together”; Sheryl Crow covering “A Hard Day’s Night”; Juanes covering “Woman”; Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Chris Stapleton teaming up to cover “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away”; Tom Morello covering “Power to the People”, and the entire cast of guests gathering onto the stage to close the evening with an inspirational group rendition of “All You Need Is Love”. Fans can check out the video below to watch the final performance from that memorable night in New York City a few years ago.

In addition to featuring all of the performances from that night, the concert film will also provide fans with in-depth interviews, and some behind-the-scenes action from what went down backstage at The Garden‘s Theater that night in 2015.

“It would be impossible to quantify the immense impact John Lennon continues to have on modern culture,” Blackbird Presents CEO Keith Wortman said about the company’s 2015 production. “His music and lyrics continue to shape the lives of musicians and millions of fans around the world. I can’t think of any better way to honor his legacy than with this extraordinary album.” Blackbird Presents is the same concert production company behind the Dear Jerry tribute event in 2015.
