Jamtronica favorites The New Deal has announced a new batch of late 2019 and early 2020 tour dates.
The New Deal’s 2019/2020 run of shows will begin with a performance at Saratoga Springs, NY’s Putnam Place on October 4th and end with a show at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl on February 22nd, 2020. The tour will also see the band make stops at Syracuse, NY’s Funk ‘n Waffles (10/5); Boston, MA’s Brighton Music Hall (10/31); New Haven, CT’s Pacific Standard Tavern (11/1); Burlington, VT’s Club Metronome (11/2); Roanoke, VA’s 5 Points Music Sanctuary (11/7); Asheville, NC’s Asheville Music Hall (11/10); Raleigh, NC’s The Pour House Music Hall (11/20); Charlotte, NC’s Visulite Theatre (11/21); Jacksonville, FL’s 1904 Music Hall (11/23); Denver, CO’s Cervantes’ Other Side (1/17 & 1/18); Asbury Park, NJ’s Wonder Bar (2/20); and Ardmore, PA’s Ardmore Music Hall (2/21).
In addition to the tour announcement, the band shared their thoughts on the new lineup. In March, keyboardist Jamie Shields and bassist Dan Kurtz announced the addition of a new drummer, Davide Di Renzo, taking the place of former drummer Joel Stouffer.
The New Deal explained,
The time spent jamming with Davide has reinforced how important it is for the three of us to be playing live improvised music in front of people who enjoy listening to what we do.
