The Black Crowes co-founding members Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson appeared with the new lineup of the band on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show Monday morning to discuss the band’s 2020 reunion tour. Along with the reunion tour, the brothers also discussed their famously contentious relationship and told entertaining stories from the past.
The lineup for the 2020 The Black Crowes tour will feature Chris, Rich, guitarist Isaiah Mitchell (Earthless), former Tedeschi Trucks Band bassist Tim Lefebvre, and Once & Future Band members Joel Robinow (keys) and Raj Ojha (drums). The band performed “Jealous Again”, “She Talks To Angels”, and “Hard To Handle” on the Monday morning edition of The Howard Stern Show.
Chris Robinson tells @HowardStern he will always remember the day he met Bob Dylan because of what the music icon did onstage with the Rolling Stones.

After Howard Stern encouraged the famously feuding brothers to hold hands, Chris confirmed the extensive, 45-date summer tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1990 debut album, Shake Your Money Maker. The reunion will mark their first shows together since December 2013.
Chris also discussed Monday night’s surprise show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. Stern and Chris went on to discuss the negative comments Chris made about Rich during his 2017 appearance on the show. “I said some horrible things. I was in a negative place. But you know what? I’ve apologized to Rich about that,” Chris said.
“A lot of things have changed for me in the last two years,” Chris continued. “I was in a relationship that was failing. I was in a negative place and you make some big changes in your life.” Chris also added he was dealing with depression at those times.
Rich noted that he was “fed up with the fighting” and added, “It was unhealthy.” He revealed that a friend with whom both brothers kept in touch eventually connected them. “I was going out playing songs in my new band, playing Crowes songs because a lot of guys from the Crowes are in my band and no matter what it is there’s that half of me that was missing,” Rich said of The Magpie Salute. “Although it was great to play with those guys, and those guys are brilliant and it was cool and fun … it’s almost like the more I dove into that it was obvious there was a glaring omission, which was my brother.”
