Tyler Childers performed as the musical guest on Monday’s episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, where the singer-songwriter played the title track from his most recent album, Country Squire.

The recent Grammy nominee exuded down-home charm as he worked through the simple, wholesome country tune along with his five-piece backing band. Watch Tyler Childers perform “Country Squire” below.

The release of Country Squire in August marked the third full-length release from the Kentucky native, whose stock continued to rise in recent years following his Americana Music Honors & Awards‘ win for “Emerging Artist of the Year” in 2018. Recently, Tyler Childers was tapped to open up for Sturgill Simpson on his 2020 A Good Look’n Tour at 37 shows across the country.

Before Childers links up with Sturgill in mid-February, he still has a number of sold-out December shows on his schedule throughout the Southeast followed by his hometown New Year’s run at Pikeville, KY’s Appalachian Wireless Arena on 12/27, 12/28, and 12/31. From there, he’ll start 2020 with a run of European shows and mount a residency at the storied Ryman Auditorium in Nashville before kicking off A Good Look’n Tour in Birmingham, AL on February 21st. Tickets for all of Childers’ shows are available on his website.

Tyler Childers’ “Universal Sound” was recently included on the December edition of Live For Live Music‘s serial Spotify playlist, the L4LM Monthly Mix. You can listen to the full playlist below or head here to read about why each song was selected.
