JamCast has announced the kNOw Justice! kNOw Peace! live stream benefit concert, set for Saturday, July 18th. The day-long marathon of performers, speakers, and more will feature headlining sets from Doom Flamingo, Zion I, and Ghost-Note, alongside a host of other artists.
The stream promises to be the first in an ongoing series of “online music & cultural education fundraisers centered around the racial equality and justice movement” to be hosted by JamCast. Saturday’s kNOw Justice! kNOw Peace!, in partnership with Take Blaction, will also serve as a fundraiser for Social Justice Matters, America Scores NY, The Emma Bowen Foundation, and more.
The full lineup will feature performances by Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy, The Fearless Flyers), Angelo Moore, JC aka Tripple Threat, Cosmik Krewe & Friends (featuring Micheal Ray and members of Barenaked Ladies, Sun Ra Arkestra, Instant Funk, and more), Alric Carter and Isaac Teel (TAUK), Nick Cassarino (The Nth Power) & Erin Boyd (Phantom Vanity), Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, The Sweet Life, Wil Blades, Zach Brock, The A-Beez, Camryn Jackson, Rob Dixon & Trilogy, Brickdrop, After Funk, and more acts to be announced on Wednesday.
The webcast event will be hosted by Alan Evans (Soulive, Matador! Soul Sounds, AE3), Laranah Phipps-Ray (Cosmic Krewe), and Greg Knight of Jamflow Management. In addition to the speakers, interviews, and performances, kNOw Justice! kNOw Peace! will also host a panel discussion featuring Kim Dawson (Pimps of Joytime, Matador! Soul Dounds), Nahbi Reality (Wu-Tang Clan affiliate), Take Blaction founder Delia McGee, and more to be announced.
