Dave Bruzza of Greensky Bluegrass will tour the Midwest this spring with his side project, Unsafe At Any Speed, featuring Justin Mazer on guitar, Jeremy Darrow on bass, Michael Shimmin on drums, and Matthew Rowland on keyboards.

Offering a mix of Bruzza’s original songs and favorite covers, the bluegrass veteran’s side project is a departure from his acoustic, picking roots. “I don’t know how to say this without saying it,” says Bruzza, “but it’s not a Greensky show. It’s a rock ‘n roll band.”

Unsafe At Any Speed originally formed just before the COVID-19 pandemic and mounted a handful of shows in 2019 and 2020 prior to the shutdown. To listen to three sample audio tracks from the early 2020 Unsafe At Any Speed performances, head here.

The band’s seven-show spring tour includes stops across the Midwest beginning on Thursday, May 12th in Ferndale, MI and rounding out on Saturday, May 21st in St. Louis, MO.
