Tedeschi Trucks Band returned to The Capitol Theatre on Friday night for the band’s second of three nights at the Port Chester, NY “rock palace.”

TTB’s swings through the New York market typically come in October at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre, giving this spring weekend at the more intimate theater in the city’s suburbs a novel air of intimacy. A community food drive running throughout the weekend only added to the familial feeling permeating the Cap.

On Friday, the Susan Tedeschi– and Derek Trucks-led twelve-piece served up two sets filled with staple covers and essential originals, moving back and forth between honoring their blues and rock lineage and celebrating the big, joyful sound they’ve made their own.

Tedeschi Trucks Band returns to The Capitol Theatre tonight, Saturday, March 26th, for the third and final time. For a full list of upcoming TTB tour dates, head to the band’s website here.
