Rising Boston jam quartet Neighbor will release its self-titled debut album in May, with plans to celebrate the launch with a hometown show at The Wilbur on May 19th.
On Neighbor, the band formed by childhood neighbors Richard James (keyboards) and Lyle Brewer (guitar) committed a dozen live staples to tape. The tracklist includes fan favorites like “Trippin’ In A Van”, “Mighty Apple Tree”, “Mary and Martha”, “Pine Tree”, and more. Neighbor produced the album alongside Matt Wayne, with mixing done by Paul Q Kolderie, whose credits include Radiohead, Warren Zevon, The Pixies, and many others.
The release of Neighbor will mark the latest milestone for the band, making its music available on major streaming platforms for the first time. The group also has a flurry of release options, including vinyl variants, merch bundles, and CDs.
Fans can even purchase private lessons from any of the band members and buy the opportunity to listen to the album in the band’s tour van, each priced at $100. But rather than listening to the album on CD, streaming, or vinyl, for $15,000 (plus production and accommodations), three fans can purchase their own private Neighbor show.
