U2 has announced an additional 11 dates at Las Vegas, NV’s Sphere in January and February of 2024. The newly added performances will extend the Irish rockers’ ongoing, venue-opening residency to a total of 36 shows.
After a years-long development and construction initiative, U2 opened the high-tech entertainment arena in late September and has been performing regular concerts in the weeks since. The U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere residency has been earning rave reviews for its visual production, which was designed specifically to show off the extensive capabilities of the 18,000-capacity venue.
U2.com paid subscribers are eligible to submit a ticket request for the eleven newly added shows, even if they have requested or secured tickets for previously announced dates. The pre-sale for the new dates opens on Thursday, October 19th at 10:00 a.m. PT and closes Saturday, October 21st at 10:00 p.m. PT. Ticket confirmations will be sent out by the evening of Tuesday, October 24th. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public starting Wednesday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. On-sale times may vary.
In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, GA floor tickets for U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere will be restricted from transfer. They may only be resold at the original purchase price. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange.
U2 remains the only act to have been publicly confirmed for live performances at the Sphere, though James Dolan, the Madison Square Garden boss who controls the venue through the parent company Sphere Entertainment recently told The New York Times that the venue’s next two acts have already been booked. He declined to comment on specifics but noted that they were “big names.” Previous reports have indicated that bands like the Eagles and Phish were in talks to play the Sphere, though no announcements have yet been issued.
