Yoko Ono‘s first album in four years, Take Me to The Land of Hell, is scheduled to be released on Chimera Music on September 16th and will feature a star studded cast of talented musicians. Roots drummer Questlove, Wilco guitarist Nels Cline, Andrew Wyatt and tUnEyArDs are among the acts to be included. Recorded in New York and produced by Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon and Yuka Honda, the album is backed by the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band whose current lineup includes members of Cornelius and Cibo Matto. Beastie Boys members Mike D and Ad Rock as well as Keigo “Cornelius” Oyamada have also contributed remixes to the album and it is expected to be a masterpiece of musical collaboration.
One of the album’s tracks, “Moonbeams,” can be listened to here via Soundcloud. But if you have a dog be careful, the jungle-like bird calls at the beginning of the track may make them go a little crazy. Either way, vocal and instrumental elements make this one trippy track.
