If you missed out on getting a copy of Phish’s debut studio album, ‘Junta’, re-released on vinyl during last year’s Record Store Day, don’t worry! JEMP Records have announced that they will release a second pressing of the vinyl on October 1st, 2013. The album will be pressed onto 180g audiophile grade vinyl created from the original stereo master reels. Each album will also come with a free Mp3 download of the album, transferred from the vinyl pressing. Unlike the original Record Store Day release, this release will not be foil stamped and numbered.
The vinyl is available now for pre-order through Phish Dry Goods. Junta was originally released on tape at Phish shows in 1988, it was not seen in stores until 1989, and was re-released by Elektra Records in 1992. Junta was certified Gold in 1997, and Platinum in 2004, and contains Phish classics like ‘You Enjoy Myself’, ‘Fluffhead’, and ‘David Bowie’.
