[Update 3/10/25]: Cyndi Lauper has announced a 25-date extension of her 2025 Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour. The tour of outdoor amphitheaters and performing arts centers will begin in the Northeast on July 15th and work its way across the continent before coming to a close with two nights at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on August 29th and 30th [get tickets].
Lauper’s international Farewell Tour, her first major headlining run in a decade, kicked off in North America last October and included her first time ever headlining (and selling out) Madison Square Garden. The tour just visited the U.K. and Europe, and will head to Australia and Japan in April.

Cyndi Lauper was recently nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of a 2025 nominee class also featuring Phish, OutKast, The Black Crowes, The White Stripes, Mariah Carey, Chubby Checker, Oasis, Bad Company, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, Maná, Oasis, and Soundgarden. In addition to her tour and the release of Let The Canary Sing, a feature-length documentary film on her life and career now streaming on Paramount Plus, she has recently been celebrated with appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the TODAY Show, Watch What Happens Live, and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

[6/3/24]: Cyndi Lauper will hang it up after one more go-round on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, her first major outing in a decade. The 23-date arena tour will celebrate the new wave singer-songwriter’s 40-plus-year career of unrelenting feminine punk energy.
The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour will kick off on October 18th in Montreal, QC. Lauper will be joined throughout the tour by special guests to be announced at a later date, stopping at major markets across North America including Detroit, a debut at Madison Square Garden in her hometown of New York City, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Seattle, and more before wrapping on December 5th in Chicago.
The tour announcement coincides with the release of the new Cyndi Lauper documentary, Let the Canary Sing, arriving on Paramount+ on Tuesday, June 4th. Directed by Alison Ellwood (Magic Trip: Ken Kesey’s Search for a Kool Place, History of the Eagles), the film charts Lauper’s iconic career through her chart-topping music to her+ activism which continues strong to this day through her LGBTQ+ non-profit True Colors United and the Girls Just Want To Have Fundamental Rights Fund to support women’s reproductive rights. To celebrate the release, Lauper will be honored with an imprint ceremony at the famed TCL Chinese Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles on June 4th, followed by a special private screening of Let the Canary Sing and a Q&A. She will also appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, June 5th to promote the tour and documentary and was featured on this past week’s CBS Sunday Morning.
