ODESZA was forced to cut the last show of its The Last Goodbye tour finale short after a wildfire ignited at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA.

The blaze began as a result of pyrotechnics used during the show combined with dry conditions caused by a national heat wave. Fortunately, the local fire department promptly responded and extinguished the flames without injury.

In a statement posted to social media, the venue addressed the situation and expressed gratitude to both the fire fighters for their swift action and patrons for their cooperation. Odesza shared the venue’s statement.

During the last song of ODESZA’s set at the Gorge, a brush fire broke out not far from the stage. The fire was contained and, fortunately, was quickly extinguished. Out of an abundance of caution and safety, the show ended without an encore. We truly appreciate everyone coming tonight and celebrating the end of the tour. Thank you.

The Gorge is set to host a number of big shows including Blink-182, Willie Nelson, Tyler Childers, Dave Matthews Band, Hozier, King Gizard & The Lizard Wizard, and more before the end of the season. Head here for a full list of upcoming shows and ticketing details.
