The internet is about to get a little more metal. GWAR front man Oderus Urungus, real name Dave Brockie, will take questions from fans today on Reddit’s music subreddit between 4-6pm, EST. The image above, with a message from Urungus, was posted to the site today in preparation.
If you’re not familiar with GWAR, the band has been shocking and entertaining fans for over 25 years, through elaborate productions satirizing current events and heavy metal music. The band members portray characters, made up in elaborate costumes, and perform skits with props and theatrical flair in between songs.
Along the way, the band has been nominated for two Grammys, and raised much controversy for acts like dismembering a fake Paris Hilton and executing a fake Sarah Palin on stage.
The characters in GWAR have a deep seeded mythology that has followed throughout all of their albums and movies, and they have a very dedicated fan base that will surely jump on the chance to ask questions to the mystical rockers. I would assume that this will be one of the more humorous AMA’s in recent memory.
