Andy Frasco & The U.N. returned to Milwaukee, WI for a night of music, mayhem, and mid-week madness at the cozy confines of the Miramar Theater.
After spending the afternoon watching the Milwaukee Brewers fall to the New York Mets, Frasco didn’t let the baseball loss dampen his spirits. In fact, it only fueled his already irrepressible energy as he took the stage and greeted fans with a puff of his joint. Adding another layer to the night’s unique flavor, the show happened to fall on Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
Launching the show with “Smoking Dope and Rock n Roll”, Frasco wasted no time setting the tone for the night. From the playfully irreverent “Mature as Fuck” to the groovy strut of “The Walk”, Frasco played ringmaster, blending humor, sincerity, showmanship, and musicality.
One of the standout moments came with “Try Not to Die”, a song expressing a sentiment of resilience that was echoed in “How to Cure a Heartbreak”, which provided a more introspective moment that saw Frasco vulnerably crooning over a sea of swaying fans.

A spontaneous singalong to “Birthday Song” saw the crowd belting out well-wishes to strangers, while the band’s explosive cover of “La Bamba” had the audience dancing in a frenzy.
With highlights like “Slam Piece”, “You Do You”, and a raucous cover of The Clash’s “Train in Vain”, the show was an unpredictable rollercoaster. Just when fans thought the night couldn’t get any crazier, Frasco and company ratcheted up the intensity once more with “Twist and Shout”.
For the encore, Frasco turned introspective once again, starting with the beautifully melancholic “Somedays” before diving into a triumphant “Dancing Around Your Grave”. The closing number, “God at a Festival”, encapsulated the night’s energy perfectly—an ode to finding joy and peace amid life’s chaos through the power of music and community.
In true Andy Frasco fashion, the concert was a glorious cathartic mess. On a night that marked the beginning of a new year for Frasco and many others in the audience, the band’s music felt like the perfect soundtrack for a fresh start, full of exuberance and unpredictability.
