It looks like Croatia is the #1 hot spot for music festival-goers these days. According to a recent study conducted by Festicket, which uses figures based on 80 festivals with tickets available on the site in 2013, Croatia attracted the most festival attendees from the UK. The finding are part of the companies International Music Festival Trends survey, which looks at music festival travel and offers insight into the differences between festival-goers in the UK and overseas.

Croatia came out ahead of both Germany (19%) and the Netherlands (12%), with 21% of the attendees choosing the beautiful Adriatic Sea location.

Meanwhile, across festival-goers in the rest of the world, 22% went to a Croatian event and 22% went to Germany. Meanwhile, 19% went to an event in the Czech Republic.

In 2014, 80% of festival attendees are planning to go to an event abroad and stay in a luxury hotel at over £100+ per night. That compares to 3% of festival-goers in the UK and 8% from the rest of the world in 2013. The study also showed that an increasing number of festival-goers are looking for more than just camping when attending events.

An infrographic detailing the study can be found at Festicket.com.
