According to the official Facebook page, L4LM has learned that a woman has died accidentally at this year’s Burning Man. The statement does not reveal her name, but explains that the woman passed away after falling under a passenger-carrying bus.

An investigation by the Pershing County Sheriff Department is currently underway, and more information will be revealed once the family has been notified and the investigation is complete.

Burning Man co-founder Marian Goodell said, “This is a terrible accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and campmates. Black Rock Rangers and Emergency Services Department staff are providing support to those affected.”

L4LM would like to echo that sentiment, and send our condolences to the woman’s family, friends, loved ones, and to all of the Burning Man community.
