Shaquille O’Neal may be best known for his role as the center for the Los Angeles Lakers (or perhaps as the starring role in the 1996 movie Kazaam), but after a brief stint as a hip-hop artist, Shaq turned his attention to DJing. After spending a few months practicing the trade, Shaq debuted at the Chateau club at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

How did he do? According to reports from TMZ, Shaq crushed it! Announced as “DJ Diesel,” Shaq came on at roughly 1 AM, and spun for about 30 minutes. He started off with some hip hop, finding a groove to really get the crowd going.

The club owners were so honored to have the famed basketball star on hand, that they even presented him with a custom bottle of champagne.

We’ll be sure to post updates as soon as DJ Diesel announces his world tour… because who wouldn’t want to see Shaq DJing?
