While Chicago’s Lollapalooza hosted 100,000 attendees and some of the largest names in popular musics, a small British festival called Leopallooza was held last weekend as well. While overshadowed by its American counterpart, Leopallooza is an independently-produced event, billed as “the best house party… in a field.”

Unbeknownst to Leopallooza goers, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke was scheduled to perform a DJ set at 2 AM last Saturday night. According to the Evening Standard, a popular British newspaper, only eight people were in attendance at the show.

As one music buff described: “He’s probably the most influential artist of the past decade and here he is prepping to play to half a dozen drunk hippies.” The drunk hippies seemed to enjoy the show, however, as Yorke “was last seen being press-ganged into a dosey-doe by barn-dancing locals — many of whom had no idea who he was.”
