Born into a family of New Orleans musicians, Troy Andrews aka Trombone Shorty, has been bringing his trademark NOLA sound to the world over, touring constantly with his band Orleans Avenue. The charismatic bandleader and trombonist will take his group back to New York City, for one great night at Terminal 5 on December 10th.

Trombone Shorty has had an exciting career, playing everywhere from the Grammy Awards to Voodoo Festival, even appearing in a few episodes of the HBO series Treme. Shorty’s live performances are certainly exciting, with an upbeat NOLA swing infused in every tune, backed by his tight, five-piece ensemble. He even made an appearance with the Foo Fighters at their recent Voodoo Music Experience a few weeks ago, showcasing his skills during the group’s first hit “This Is A Call.” He also was a specia guest on the Foo’s latest album-turn-HBO-documentary, Sonic Highways.

Joining Trombone Shorty for this incredible NOLA-style throwdown will be one of L4LM’s favorite groups, the Soul Rebels, who just finished a Fall tour with Prodigy of Mobb Deep, have played with John Medeski of MMW, and recently opened for the Allman Brothers prior to their Peach Festival performance. Their latest mixtape Power = Power features the group’s own unique take on artists such as Jay Z, Kanye West, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Bruno Mars and even Daft Punk (with help from Big Freedia on vocals).
