Widespread Panic percussionist Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz joined Bloodkin on Friday for the band’s annual Bloodkin & Friends show at the legendary 40 Watt Club in Athens, GA.

The evening featured an extensive lineup including Kevn Kinney, Jess Franklin, Cameron Williams, Adam Poulin, Scotty Nicholson, Amberly Hutchens, Josh Stack, William Tonks, Kevin Sweeney, Rick Williams, Scott Baston, and David Barbe. Many jam fans know Bloodkin from Widespread Panic’s frequent covers of their songs, making the collaboration a natural fit.

Ortiz also appeared during Kevn Kinney’s acoustic opening set, joining the Drivin N Cryin co-founder and John Neff for a performance of “Let’s Go Dancing”.
