Billy Strings has earned his third Grammy award for Best Bluegrass Album, nabbing the victory once again at the 68th annual Grammys ceremony with his 2025 album Highway Prayers.
The flatpicking phenom had lots of competition this year, with Sierra Hull‘s A Tip Toe High Wire, Michael Cleveland and Jason Carter‘s Carter & Cleveland, Alison Krauss & Union Stations‘ Arcadia, and The Steeldrivers‘ Outrun all among the nominees. But Strings came out on top yet again after previously winning the same honor last year for Live Vol. 1 and in 2021 for Home.
In a short and sweet social media post celebrating the win, Strings thanked “all the GRAMMYS folks” before humbly congratulating his fellow nominees, adding, “it’s an honor to be recognized along with such fine musicians ❤️”

Though she didn’t take home any wins despite four well-earned nominations, Sierra Hull presented the award for Best Historical Album to Joni Mitchell, writing on social media, “Didn’t win any Grammys myself, but I hung for a while with Joni and gave HER a Grammy, so that is a win to me!”

Meanwhile, Billy Strings’ former housemate Molly Tuttle likewise struck out but can head back to Nashville with her head held high, having racked up two more nominations in the Best Americana Album and Best Americana Performance categories for So Long Little Miss Sunshine and “That’s Gonna Leave a Mark”, respectively.
“This music was a long time in the making and I’m glad I followed my heart the whole way! ❤️” she wrote in a social media post.

She also performed and sat down for a Q&A with Mikael Wood at the Grammy Museum as part of the Grammy week festivities.
Stay tuned for additional Grammy coverage.
