Earlier this morning, Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir gave an extensive interview about the upcoming “Fare Thee Well” reunion shows on CNBC. Speaking with reported Steve Leisman, Weir talked about the decision to reunite, the expectations thereof, what they’re going to play, and the choice to bring Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio into the fold.

One particularly interesting quote from Weir: “After kicking it around amongst all of us, after kicking around who’s gonna work best, it’s really pretty evident to anyone who doesn’t have a serious axe to grind who we should be dancing with here… If somebody’s not getting their favorite guy on guitar and vocals or whatever, sorry about that. Maybe we’ll make it to the 75th reunion and maybe your guy will make it that time.”
