Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has been arrested and charged with three counts of assault, one count of battery and one count of making terrorist threats after confronting a UCLA football coach for riding his son, UCLA defensive back Justin Combs, a little too hard during practice, reports Rolling Stone.

The coach in question, however, was former New York Jets strengthening coach Sal Alosi, who you may remember was suspended by the NFL after his involvement in the infamous tripping scandal when the team played the Miami Dolphins back in 2010, having players set up a wall on the sideline and tripping then-Miami punt cover specialist Nolan Carroll during a play.

According to a university spokesperson via the school’s website: “Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell…No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening.”

Various reports claim that the coach had been screaming at the defensive back intensely, and afterwards, Diddy made his way to the coach’s office where he grabbed the coach, and apparently made the threats.

As of 10pm last night, Diddy, who is referred to as a “helicopter dad” by the UCLA coaching staff, had been released on $50,000 bail, according to TMZ. We will see how things play out, as it seems there is more to the story now that the coach-in-question is Sal Alosi, who has a history of questionable decision-making.
