Electronic pioneers Kraftwerk, known in more recent years for the elaborate visual experience of their live shows, have announced plans to translate their visual show into a revolutionary “3D album” to be released on Blu-ray.
“We translated our performances to 3D, and in surround sound, kind of like 3D sound,” Ralf Hutter, the band’s only remaining original member, told Rolling Stone. “We’ve put a lot of work into all the images, transforming from our Kling Klang archives into 3D format and arranging it synchronised with the music, so it’s quite a lot of production.”
In the meantime, Kraftwerk will take their 3D show on the road beginning on 9/16. Check out their tour dates here.
