Though short-lived, the Jammy Awards were always a great source of dynamic, collaborative performances. Such was the case at the 2002 Jammy’s when Robert Randolph & The Family Band broke onto the scene and took home the honor as New Groove Of The Year. On the same night that the Grateful Dead were honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award, Randolph would share the stage with Derek Trucks of the Allman Brothers Band and unannounced guest John Mayer.
