Funky Denver outfit Analog Son are taking time off from their on-going recording sessions to hit the road this winter. The band has added a slate of new tour dates that will take them to Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana before returning to Colorado for a show in Fort Collins, before bringing things to a close with a huge night at the Bluebird Theater in Denver. The band has been locked away in the studio while recording their new album, so they are ready to hit the pavement and play some shows. Analog Son co-founder Jordan Linit expressed via a press release that “the band is sounding better than ever and we can’t wait to play these new tunes on our winter tour.”

In coordination with the tour, the band have released a brand new single featuring the one and only Ivan Neville. Neville and Analog Son members Jordan Linit and Josh Fairman have been playing shows with Neville for years, opening up for Dumpstaphunk in various projects and playing alongside each other in super groups, also having collaborated with each other on a Neville Jacobs recording session. Neville has been featured on every Analog Son album to date. Analog Son have spent a lot of time recording their new album in New Orleans, but invited Neville out to Littleton, CO for a session that led to this new track, called “Sunshine” (perhaps named after Colorado, the sunniest state in America).

Linit was effusive when talking about his relationship with Neville, expressing that “Ivan Neville is a living legend who is a force to be reckoned with in the music scene. Working with him has been an unreal experience not only when Analog Son opened for Dumpstaphunk, but also his massive presence in the studio, From the Rolling Stones to Dumpstaphunk, all musicians, myself included, have been influenced by him for years. Having him sing a song I wrote is an experience I will never forget.”
