Returning to the beautiful beachfront Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic, Dominican Holidaze this past weekend was a jamband lover’s dream. The chance to escape freezing cold temperatures and winter jackets, dip your toes in the water and watch a handful of your favorite bands play on the beach is not an opportunity to be passed up.
Cloud 9 Adventures put on yet another top-notch destination event, featuring the headlining trifecta of Umphrey’s McGee, The Disco Biscuits, and STS9. Lettuce, Break Science, and Papadosio put on raging beach sets, while Gigamesh, Nightmares on Wax and Lee Foss entertained with poolside and late-night sets.
Beyond the music, Holidaze offered a ton of activities and excursions that allowed fans to interact with some of their favorite artists in ways they never dreamed of. A day-long catamaran ride with members of Lettuce let fans snorkel with some of their favorite funksters, while a poolside gameshow judged by Barber from the Disco Biscuits saw fans twerking and getting weird. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience that attendees will not soon forget.
