Soulive is officially back, and four shows into their nine show run at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl. After a year and a half off from the traditional Bowlive residency, both the band and the fans are readier than ever for each coming night of madness to ensue. With a different slate of guests each night, every show presents a new atmosphere for the sensational trio that is Eric Krasno, Neal Evans, and Alan Evans to do what they do best.

On Saturday night, the band brought saxophonist Sam Kininger and The London Souls out for a seriously funky time. Longtime collaborator of Soulive and Lettuce, Kininger is no stranger to the game – and his musical contributions proved why throughout the night. Guitarist Tash Neal and drummer Chris St. Hilaire brought new levels of rock and roll to the Bowl, even allowing for Alan Evans to break away from the kit and up to the microphone for some lead vocals on songs like Funkadelic‘s “Hit It and Quit It.”
