While Bonnaroo still has some element of jam music left in its lineup, the festival was a bona fide jam-a-thon in its earliest days. Among the many highlights from those golden years was a Dave Matthews & Friends performance during the 2004 festival, that saw Matthews jam on a number of originals and covers through the main set. The band’s lineup included Ray Paczkowski, Tony Hall, Brian Blade, Tim Reynolds and Trey Anastasio.

A standout momemt from the set came during the encore, when Matthews appeared with Anastasio for a three song acoustic performance. The two opened things up with Anastasio’s song “Waste,” before performing Matthews’ original “Everyday.” They wrapped things up with a fun rendition of “Bathtub Gin” before giving the fans one last number, a version of “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again).”

Thankfully, footage from this performance remains, and we can take a look at some songs from the set below.
