As we head into the winter months, destination event season begins once again! Dominican Holidaze kicked off last night, bringing some talented artists and adoring fans to the tropical shores of Punta Cana, DR. The music started yesterday with an afternoon sunset show from The Floozies, treating fans to their electrofunky stylings. From there, it was STS9, The Disco Biscuits and a late night DJ set from Lettuce/Break Science drummer Adam Deitch to get the party started.
Before the evening fun began, organizers and musicians alike gathered on the stage for an opening toast to usher in the festivities ahead!
STS9 took to the main stage first, treating fans to their potent brand of jamtronica. The band is touring on the heels of their recently released The Universe Inside album, and brought music new and old for their performance. The band just recently wrapped up a highly acclaimed fall tour, and continues to impress in the live setting!

Next up were The Disco Biscuits, another jamtronica band that has been at the top of their game of late. The Biscuits have focused their energies on smaller runs and festival plays in recent years, and that concentrated energy shines brightly when the band does take the stage. The group dove deep into their catalog, opening with “Floes” and including Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell” in a smoldering performance.
