It has been five years since The Disco Biscuits last graced the stage on Halloween night, and with the announcement that they will be playing a two-night run in Syracuse, NY with shows at the F-Shed on 10/30 and the Crouse-Hinds Theater on 10/31, you can be sure that the band has some tricks (and treats) up their sleeves. The band will be joined by Slovenian-producer ICHISAN on the 30th, and an Official The Disco Biscuits After-Party is scheduled on the 31st which will be hosted by Horizon Wireless at King of Clubs. The Disco Biscuits Prep For NYC NYE Blowout

The Disco Biscuits are no strangers to making things special for their fanbase, and Halloween has been no exception. We decided to take a look back at a few of the most memorable sets that the band has performed over the years. And the choices were:

The Orpheum Theatre – Boston, MA 10/31/2006

Anytime you decide to bring out a choir, it simply cannot be a bad thing. In this case, The Boston Symphony Orchestra Choir joined the group on numbers such as Carl Orff‘s “O Fortuna”, Pink Floyd‘s “In The Flesh”, “Home Again”, “Svenghali”, the Rolling Stones‘ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”….enough said? This easily makes it on the list, with an “A” for effort on bringing the choir in.

Woodmen of the Wood Hall – Eugene, OR 10/31/2001

Soooooo, you’re telling me that the entire second set was an improvised score to “Alice In Wonderland“? Yes, please, and thank you! Add in a “Nughuffer > Linus and Lucy” and a fire encore of “Ladies” and “Munchkin Invasion” and you have one solid Halloween show.

The Jefferson Theater – Charlottesville, VA 10/31/2010

And what about the time the Biscuits aka Tractorbeam brought out Bonobo to play bass at The Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville, VA? That’s right, producer extraordinaire and multi-instrumentalist Simon Green himself joined the group during “The Big Happy” (check out the 48-minute mark). And that “Mindless Dribble > Ladies”….dirty and delicious.

Trax – Charlottesville, VA 10/31/2001

When a show starts off with a “Chemical Warfare Brigade” and is followed up by a deep, dark 44-minute long “Mindless Dribble” you can bet your ass things are going to get weird, but that good kind of weird. Sprinkle in a “Halloween Theme Song” in the middle of a “Little Betty Boop > Floodlights > Little Betty Boop” jam, the band covering Smashing Pumpkins “Cherub Rock” while literally smashing pumpkins on stage, Magner in a wife-beater, and the circle has become complete.

Don’t you love Magner’s wife-beater? How Staten Island of him:
