Live For Live Music asked members of The Main Squeeze to provide some thoughts on their powerful new video release for the song “Shot.” This is what they had to say.

Today, on the inauguration of our 45th President, we find ourselves at a definitive crossroads as a country. Racism and prejudice rear their ugly heads in broad daylight, the use of excessive force continues to result in the death and destruction of our neighbors, and oppression of all kinds, be it physical, mental, spiritual or otherwise, remains a tragic reality. SHOT is about justice; without justice we will see no peace. SHOT is about disarmament; putting an end to the hypocrisy of precious lives spent by cheap shots. SHOT is about shooting back without bullets. We use our voice to shoot back. While they continue to manufacture hate and weapons, we will continue to fight for unity and peace.
