Just last weekend, two extraordinarily soulful performances took Red Rocks Amphitheatre by storm, as Nahko & Medicine For The People opened up in support of The Avett Brothers at the famed Morrison, CO stage. The Avett Brothers are out on the road in support of their recently released 2016 album, True Sadness, and gave fans a hearty helping of the new release. Of course, the set mixed in new songs with old classics, spanning the Avett Brothers’ career with a passion. They also worked a handful of covers into their set, including a version of “Mama Tried” by Merle Haggard in the encore.
