It was a solid first day at Camp Bisco, with great sets of music from Atmosphere, STS9, the Disco Biscuits, Pretty Lights, Clasixx, Zoogma, Horizon Wireless and many others. It all started out on an…interesting note when a deranged fan hopped up on stage and tackled Zoogma’s equipment while the band was playing, breaking some gear and bassist Ryan Nall‘s toe.

Outside of that lovely little incident, the return of Camp Bisco, which made the move from Indian Lookout Country Club to Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA (home to the Peach Festival) has been successful thus far. Atmosphere played a poppin’ hip-hop set that led nicely into the highlight of the night: STS9. The band is on fire right now with new bassist Alana Rocklin and their set was cohesive from start to finish. “New Dawn New Day” was particularly explosive, as was an insane closer of “World Go Round.”

The Disco Biscuits kicked off their set with a cover of Prince‘s “1999”, getting everyone in the groove. A blissful jam from “Shadow” into “Rock Candy” was a highlight that had everyone raging night one properly.

Pretty Lights played late night with everyone in the amphitheatre getting down to his brand of electro/hip-hop/soul, with some tasty beats. He dropped a rare “After Midnight” as well as his “Country Roads” remix. LA-based Classixx played an upbeat set to close out the night, with the perfect disco/synth-pop sound for a late-night dance party.
