It was a funky throwdown at Tipitina’s last Saturday, June 13th, as George Porter Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste of the Funky Meters joined up with Ivan Neville and Tony Hall of Dumpstaphunk, as well as slide guitarist John Mooney, for a “Foundation Of Funk” concert. The quartet dove into some classic funk tunes, including “It’s Your Thing”, “Jungle Man”, “Talkin Bout New Orleans” and more!
