When an intended one-time superjam is so well-received that it becomes a nationally touring band, you know there’s something special to it. After David Murphy, Mike Greenfield (Lotus), Steve Molitz (Particle) and Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine) debuted their new project, the Stratosphere All-Stars, at Brooklyn Bowl earlier this year, they had everyone buzzing, wondering the next time they would be able to see these badass cats together on stage.

Over at the Ardmore Music Hall, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong opened up the night with an electrifying, jam-heavy set to get everyone going as Phish fans began to filter in.

The Stratosphere All-Stars took the stage shortly after. Joined by the mesmerizing Allison Singer on vocals and talented Sam Greenfield on sax, we were taken to another stratosphere with jamtronica interpretations of David Bowie, Grateful Dead, Daft Punk and more.
