On July 25th, Tegan & Sara teamed up with The Human Rights Campaign, also known as HRC to headline a benefit concert at The Paramount in Huntington, NY. HRC is the largest civil rights organization in working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans. The event was hosted by Amanda Leigh Dunn from The Real L Word.
While playing a great mix of old and new songs, the duo had taken time off from their sold out summer tour to play this show. After ending their 45 minute set with their newest single “Closer”, they announced that instead of doing an encore, they would be doing a Q&A with the audience. Although The Paramount is very big, this show was very intimate, especially while the girls were answering questions from the audience.
Immediately following the Q&A, The Jane Doze, a New York DJ duo took over and turned The Paramount into a dance club.
