Live For Live Music is excited to premiere soul singer Madelyn Grant‘s new music video for “Beautiful Lie.” The release of the video, directed by Joseph Cavanaugh, comes a day before the launch of the Grant’s new Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to give “Beautiful Lie,” as well as a handful of other new songs, the full studio treatment in the form of a new EP, Purpose.

Check out the video below, featuring Grant performing the new song along with bandmates/EP co-producers Julian Allen (drums, backup vocals) and James Cornelison (bass, backup vocals), as well as keyboardist Ian Finkelstein:

Says Grant of the new track, “‘Beautiful Lie’ is a song I wrote when I was feeling quite distraught about the world around me. It often seems like there’s no way to escape feeling hopeless. I wrote the pre-chorus hook (‘Maybe one day we’ll see a little clearer, maybe one day we’ll know just what to do’) as a reminder that while things may seem bleak, there is a brighter future ahead. A reminder that we, as a society, are not completely hopeless.”
