With Labor Day come and gone, summertime is quickly shifting into autumn. Fortunately that means one thing: fall festivals! Breezier than their summer counterparts, we’re particularly excited about the Luna Light Music and Arts Festival, coming up from October 1-4 in Darlington, MD.

Boasting a lineup that includes sets from Papadosio, Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics, Keller & The Keels, Dopapod (x2), Ott., The Motet, Particle, TAUK (x2), Zoogma (x2) and more, Luna Light is a guaranteed good time. Here are our top 5 reasons you’ll want to attend this year’s Luna Light Music and Arts Festival!

1. The Live

This being Live for Live Music, naturally we noted that some of our favorite live bands are performing at Luna Light. The lineup boasts such favorites as Keller & The Keels, The Motet, Ozric Tentacles, Consider the Source and so many more.

Keller’s reunion with The Keels is sure to bring a smile on everyone’s faces, while The Motet are definitely going to be bringing their classic funk to the party. Meanwhile Consider the Source and Ozric Tentacles are both leaders in the progressive-metal-influenced genre, with each delicately crafting mind-blowing compositions. Ozric has been around for over 30 years, and none of these live acts will disappoint.

And don’t miss Pink Talking Fish’s Dark Side of the Moon set! Trust us on this one.

2. The Jamtronic

Amid Luna Light’s diverse lineup are a number of incredible bands that blur the line between jam and electronica. Papadosio is featured at the top of the lineup, and for good reason. The group is scheduled to release their new album, Extras In A Movie, on October 2nd; smack dab in the middle of this festival. This group always delivers a mind-blowing performance.

TAUK is also featured, as these heavy-hitters always bring their unique blend of upbeat prog-funk to the table. Dopapod are rocking it stronger than ever, as well as Particle, these are bands that are truly grooving. And don’t miss Manifested too!

3. The Electronic

Luna Light boasts a heavy-hitting lineup of electronic artists as well. Perhaps the most intriguing inclusion is Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics, the six-piece live band supporting DJ Michal Menert. The first artist to be featured on the Pretty Lights Music label, Menert always throws down in the live setting. With this full band in tow, this is sure to be an excellent set.

Also featured are Ott., Blockhead, Plantrae and many more. These talented artists are sure to keep the party going well into the night.

4. The Location

Situated on the beautiful Camp Ramblewood in Darlington, MD, the site of Luna Light is nestled in the woodlands for a perfect festival adventure. With beautiful visions of the night time sky, Ramblewood will be the perfect host for the creatively collaborative spirit that is Luna Light. Filled with performance artists, musicians, and generally creative, open-minded people, this is one beautiful community. Don’t miss a chance to be a part of it!

5. And just about everything else!

While Luna Light boasts an incredible lineup and the location, there’s a ton of great features to love. The late night music, the particularly-chosen craft vendors, the art installations from fantastic painters and built-in campfires… Luna Light promises to be the complete festival experience. Not to mention all of the workshops the festival is offering, including ones on how to life a better life.

Once more, tickets for the four-day festival will only run you $150, a veritable steal for everything here. This is one great festival that you won’t want to miss! One quick glimpse of this 2014 recap video and you’ll see what we mean:
