With Twiddle set to release the first volume of their two-part PLUMP album this Friday, December 11th, the band is building anticipation by sharing some of their studio tracks. Coming straight from the PLUMP sessions is “Be There,” an up-tempo reggae-influenced jam number featuring Kenny Brooks on saxophone.

Twiddle has had a breakthrough year in 2015, as Mihali Savoulidis (guitar), Ryan Dempsey (keys), Zdenek Gubb (bass) and Brook Jordan (drums) continue to push the envelope. Their exploratory shows always bring out a ton of energy, and the band has toured the country bringing some of the best music around.

We’re excited to premiere “Be There” from PLUMP, so tune in below:

We asked Savoulidis to tell us more about the song, to which he responded: “‘Be There’ is about treating people kindly and being good to your fellow man or woman. the chorus is from the perspective of our lost loved ones. They’re telling us that even though they are gone, they are still with us to help us through the hard times.”

Dempsey also commented about the album, saying “I’m really proud of PLUMP because we made use of so many resources in the studio, from guest musicians, to eclectic instrumentation, and we all gained so much weight, like 20 pounds each for the album, PLUMP.”

Tickets are still available for the band’s two-night album release party at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA (December 11-12), as well as the band’s three-night New Years run at the Higher Ground in Burlington, VT (December 31-January 2). They’ll also be taking over the L4LM Instagram account this weekend, so don’t miss out on the #TwiddleTakeover.
