Vinoski Winery is bringing a series of outdoor summer concerts to the Pittsburgh, PA area this summer, from a wide variety of special, themed performances to shows by a slew of nationally touring bands.
Next Tuesday, 5/18, NOLA-based funk outfit Galactic will travel to the Belle Vernon, PA winery with the help of vocalist Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph (American Idol, Tank & The Bangas). Palindromic jam quartet Dopapod will stop by the venue on 6/6 as part of a larger post-COVID tour. A few weeks later, on 6/24, Twiddle‘s summer tour will also route through Vinoski.
The winery will also host an extensive list of tribute acts this summer, assuring that there’s something to enjoy for every type of music fan. Talking Heads and David Byrne fans will enjoy Start Making Sense on 6/25. If you can’t make it out to see Dave Matthew’s Band national tour this year, Big Eyed Phish – A Tribute To Dave Matthews Band, will be offer up the best of what’s around on 7/17. Pink Talking Fish, the fan-favorite hybrid tribute act that operates in the middle of the Pink Floyd/Talking Heads/Phish Venn diagram, will also make a stop at Vinosk on 10/10.
While wine-making has been in the Vinoski family for over 800 years, “The Castle” where the winery now resides was purchased by Walt and Roxanne Vinoski in 2017. After acquiring the property, it quickly became clear that the lawn space would be perfect for events. Now, the calendar boasts dozens of events presented by Drusky Entertainment, Pittsburgh’s premiere concert promoter, through the summer and fall months. The space is also available to rent for private events.
Admission to this year’s concerts at Vinoski Winery can be purchased either as single, standing room only general admission tickets, or in seated pods of four. To ensure the safety of staff and guests, COVID-19 guidelines found here are being strictly enforced. Guidelines will be subject to change as the COVID-19 situation improves.
